01  Assessment

Understand the operation.

Follow representative orders, jobs, and partner handoffs to find the causes of delays and uncertainty.

  • Operating evidence and current handoffs
  • Systems, information, constraints, and ownership
  • Business priorities and success measures
How we assess your operation

We use the Order-to-Door™ framework built into Launchpad to examine the handoffs relevant to your service, including dependencies elsewhere in the operation.

The managed engagement begins with a paid operational assessment, with scope and participation agreed before work starts. We follow representative orders, jobs, or partner exchanges through the parts of the operation relevant to your project. Your team's experience and operating records help establish where a problem begins, how it affects the business, and what needs to improve.

Enterprise Architecture connects that operating picture to your people, processes, systems, and data. We examine how business applications receive production information: work progress, material consumption, equipment availability, quality holds, and release decisions where relevant. We identify what is recorded, how current it is, which system owns it, and where employees must chase or reconstruct the answer.

We also establish ownership, leadership support, integration dependencies, and the time employees need to test and learn a change. Findings are reviewed with you and recorded in Launchpad before they become Roadmap work.

Agree assessment scope and participation before work begins.

02  Roadmap

Agree the plan before the build.

Define the outcomes, requirements, responsibilities, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for the project you agree.

  • Prioritized changes and sequence
  • Scope, milestones, investment, and ownership
  • Risks, provider responsibilities, and client decisions

What your project Roadmap covers

Your Roadmap connects the outcomes of your chosen service to the work needed to achieve them. It can address a focused project or a full supply chain digital transformation; the scope is agreed with you. It covers process changes, system choices, development, integration, implementation, testing, change management, training, adoption, and acceptance.

We compare improvements to existing processes and applications with suitable products, new connections, or development where a gap justifies it. For production information, that may mean improving operator reporting, connecting manufacturing applications, or collecting data through an existing equipment interface. The choice follows the information your team needs and the conditions in which the solution must operate.

The sequence accounts for production commitments, staff availability, cost, risk, and dependencies across providers. Each stage has named responsibilities, milestones, and evidence for acceptance. A focused service engagement can stand on its own. Where broader transformation is requested, we use Launchpad to assess, plan, and govern that work too. You approve priorities, investment, and changes to scope or operating commitments.

A Roadmap can cover one service or a broader transformation.

03  Engineering

Build the approved solution.

Design, configure, integrate, and develop the application connections, reporting, and workflows your Roadmap calls for.

  • Application and partner integration
  • Dependable records, reporting, and workflows
  • Technical testing, exceptions, and recovery

Software · Cloud · Data · AI — selected for the operating need.

Metrotechs integrates approved production data with business applications. Qualified specialists own PLC and robot programming, machine-control and safety logic, and physical equipment work.

How we choose the engineering work

Customer promises determine the outcomes. Engineering determines the means.

Software, Cloud, Data, and AI are engineering capabilities selected according to your business requirements. Systems Engineering defines how application responsibilities, interfaces, infrastructure, access, records, and testing fit together across the systems and handoffs in scope.

Industry 4.0 brings connected production systems and operating information into manufacturing improvement. We assess where those connections would help your business, then lead the application and data work your Roadmap requires. Better use of existing systems and clearer working practices may meet the need; additional technology follows a demonstrated requirement.

Applications and handoffs
Connect ERP, CRM, CPQ, manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation applications around the work people perform. Compare retaining and configuring suitable products with integration or justified development. Use approved interfaces to connect business and shop-floor applications.
Access and continuity
Agree infrastructure, access, security, monitoring, backup, and recovery around the applications in scope. Compare existing plant, edge, and cloud environments against connection limits, continuity needs, ownership, and operating cost.
Records and reporting
Connect business records and approved production data through shared definitions, source ownership, integration, quality checks, governance, and analytics. Give employees information they can verify and use in daily decisions.
Decisions and review
Keep source evidence, review authority, and exception handling visible. Evaluate decision support against the current task, including incorrect answers, missing evidence, and the time reviewers need. People retain authority over operating commitments.

04  Adoption

Make it work in everyday operations.

Roll out approved changes, train teams, verify real tasks and exceptions, and confirm acceptance.

  • Controlled rollout and validation
  • Role-specific learning, practice, and ownership
  • Acceptance evidence and support handoff

How we lead implementation and adoption

Metrotechs leads delivery against your approved Roadmap. We develop and integrate software, implement data collection and reporting, and coordinate the required providers so the complete handoff works across applications and teams.

When production information comes from Operational Technology (OT)—the systems that monitor or control physical processes—our work connects approved data interfaces with manufacturing and business applications. Automation and equipment specialists handle PLC programming, robotics, machine controls, and physical equipment changes. We define the dependencies and coordinate their assigned contribution within the Roadmap.

Providers manage their own staff and agreed work. Your leaders retain business authority, assign operating owners, and make time for employees to test, practice, and learn. We review technical results and everyday use together, resolve delivery issues, and bring scope or investment decisions to you. Requirements, decisions, progress, and acceptance evidence stay connected in Launchpad.

Clear decisions. Agreed responsibilities. Visible progress.

Launchpad keeps findings, requirements, decisions, responsibilities, progress, and acceptance evidence connected throughout your project.

Metrotechs

Leads the agreed work, coordinates delivery participants, and reviews evidence.

Providers

Deliver assigned work and manage their own resources.

Your team

Sets business priorities, contributes operating knowledge, tests changes, and accepts results.

Client leaders retain business decisions and operating ownership.

Make the operating changes work

Your Roadmap connects each improvement to the records, access, responsibilities, training, and evaluation it needs. We test ordinary work and exceptions with the people who will use the changed process, then compare the result with the agreed baseline. Operating owners need a practical way to maintain the information, resolve failures, and support the work after rollout.

Illustrative example

From a supplier delay to a better decision

A supplier confirms a late component, but production and sales still show the original date. We assess the missing handoff, create the improvement plan in Launchpad, and lead the changes to records, responsibilities, and working practices. With those connections in place, your planner can trace the delivery risk to its source and decide what happens next.

  1. Agree the baseline

System: Trace order status to its source records.

Manager: Planners record how they investigate a delay today.

Accept: Owners reconcile sample orders and agree a comparison.

  2. Connect the updates

System: Link the reviewed supplier confirmation and expected receipt to the purchase line, affected production job, and customer order.

Manager: Purchasing owns the supplier update; planning reviews the effect on production and customer commitments.

Accept: Tests show the right update, without duplicate or unauthorized changes.

  3. Verify the operating view

System: Show affected orders and the records behind the status.

Manager: Planners check the status and practice a missing-data case.

Accept: Tested gaps are flagged and routed for review.

  4. Review and accept

System: Compare status accuracy and investigation time with the baseline.

Manager: Operating owners confirm training and ongoing review.

Accept: Client leaders accept the improvement against the agreed criteria.
